TigerCam

TigerCam is a cryogenic astronomical camera cooled by a Cryotiger (1). A TigerCam can accommodate any kind of single detector, such as a CCD, since it operates at around -110 C. TigerCam main features are:

  • A custom designed vacuum vessel with a VAT valve
  • Temperature control using Lakeshore temperature controller
  • Detector signals through a hermetic connector
  • Temperature signals through an independent hermetic connector
  • Detector mount in Aluminum; cold finger in copper
  • Detector fanout board with internal connectors for easy installation
